Immersive Audio Installation (5 Minutes 16 Seconds)
This immersive audio installation invites participants to move with the ebb and flow of a protest, experiencing the fragile and shifting nature of the hope within.
Staged in a dark room, the environment allows for a calm and intimate atmosphere, in addition to having a disorienting effect. The removal of other sensory input foregrounds the central auditory nature of protests, which crosses cultural and physical boundaries to create a space for unison.
An ode to aircraft black boxes, this piece serves as evidence of an imagined protest, quietly recording its unseen developments and silenced voices. It encapsulates caution about the dissipation of, and need for, hope in today's world.
