How to resist tech-bros

by Benjamin Palme

Server Sculpture

We are witnessing the seizure of power by a coalition of fascists and so-called “tech bros”. The internet has become a dystopian tool of control. But is there hope? The technological means are there. The future of the internet is rather a question of organisation. By building a communal server, this work explores what digital infrastructure could look like and how we can achieve it. By exploring the possibilities of decentralised, self-hosted internet collectives, it showcases not just acts of digital resistance, but also creates a vision of a possible digital world. There is hope; and we are starting to build it here.
