This experimental video work combines stop-motion puppet animation with hand-drawn 2D animation to explore the tension between cuteness and horror, familiarity and unease. Set in a stylized garden, it follows a snail reflecting on romantic love as a storm transforms a kitschy idyll into something unsettling. As butterflies seek shelter and perish, the narrative shifts from nostalgia to obsession, revealing love as possessive and destructive. Drawing on queer feminist perspectives, the film critiques heteropatriarchal ideals of romance and domesticity, using animation and puppet horror to challenge perceptions of identity, intimacy, and control.
